Younger children wanting attention.
How do you homeschool with babies, toddlers, preschoolers wanting your attention, too?
The biggest thing to remember as a parent during this stage of life is that it is a season and it will pass, actually very quickly. Try not to be so task oriented that you forget the joy that these little ones can bring. It will take creativity and patience on your part to make it work. Also, try not to judge one day of homeschooling too harshly, rather look at the whole of your progress.
Try to include toddlers and preschoolers in the initial part of your day. They will want to be with you, but will be ready to move around before long. It may help to stagger toys so that they are only available on certain days at certain times. You may wish to use nap times to schedule the more serious aspects of instruction. Remember, you are in control of the schedule, you do not need to follow one made by someone else.
