What Kind of Families Homeschool?
Families from all walks of life are engaged in homeschooling. The home education movement spans religious, racial, economic, educational, and social boundaries. The one common factor is a strong desire by parents to have a hands-on involvement in the training and development of their children.
Homeschooling parents exhibit a deep sense of personal responsibility for the education of their children. That responsibility may be motivated by religious belief, educational choice, or out of necessity for the well being of the child.
