Can a single parent homeschool?
A single parent is no less qualified to teach than anyone else. The challenges a single parent may face regarding time management may be greater than a two parent home, however many homeschoolers are finding ways to accommodate their children's needs and other demands. The support that a single parent receives from other family members, support groups and others of their faith is very important. The demands may be great, but to many single parent families who choose to homeschool, the sacrifices are worth it.
Single parents are not the only ones entering the homeschooling picture. Others who have the opportunity to assist in the homeschooling process such as grandparents, aunts and uncles are having a great impact in the lives of homeschoolers. Their assistance and support is greatly appreciated.
